Požehnané Vianoce 2014!
Vianoce nie sú o zhone. Nie sú ani o darčekoch. A nie sú ani o pohode v rodinnom kruhu. Nie sú ani o stromčeku. Ani o vianočných jedlách. A už vôbec nie o folklóre. Nie sú ani o romantických spomienkach na detstvo.
Skutočné Vianoce sú o nádeji.
Historicky to bolo najskôr naplnenie nádeje, žijúcej vo Vyvolenom národe. Ibaže Vyvolený národ si ju po stáročia predstavoval inak, a preto ju neprijal. A tak sa zrodila nová nádej pre každého. Nádej, ktorá dáva ľudským dejinám, a každej ľudskej bytosti zmysel a perspektívu. Nádej nie je istota, ale je oveľa viac, ako nič. Dá sa s ňou radostne žiť.
Takúto radostnú nádej prajem na Vianoce roku 2014 kresťanskej éry!
Merry Christmas 2014!
Christmas is not about rush. It is not about gifts. And not even about the peace in a family circle. It is not about the Christmas tree. Even not about the Christmas meals. And certainly it is not about the folklore. And also it is not about the romantic memories on our childhood.
Real Christmas is about hope.
First was it a fulfillment of the hope, believed among the Chosen people. Unless the Chosen people this hope for centuries represented differently, so they did not accept it. And so was born a new Hope for everyone. Hope that gives to human history and to every human being a sense and a perspective. Hope is not a certainty, but it is much more than nothing. We can happily live with it.
I wish such a joyful hope for Christmas 2014!
